My husband was born and raised in Natchitoches until he was 13, and now we are considering moving back with our 3 daughters from Illinois. It doesn't seem like either of us will have a hard time finding work, but I can't seem to find any info online as to where to find a decent house for rent. I can't find local classifieds or a local paper online. I checked all the local realtor sites and property management companies. You would think a college town would have some resources for rental houses.

Thanks for the advice, I think I have been to every rental site and found nothing. I had thought of contacting Chamber of Commerce, that's a good idea!

I would suggest not living IN natchitoches. I lived there in college, and it was a soo hard to find a home in town. There are some areas around there, though, not in the middle of town that are easier to find.

The Natchitoches Times IS available online. I just signed up for it! Just go to [url]www.natchitochestimes.com[/url] and register. You will need to pay a subscription fee to view it online. You can purchase only a week if you like! There are lots of rental houses in the Natchitoches Times currently!

Natchitoches is a beautiful town but unless you work at Northwestern State University, there aren't many jobs. I presume you'll be working at NSU?
