Me too. It was from a concerned and well-intentioned German internet buddy of mine. No harm done.

She could only wish, but we hang out with many local (and quite insane, even by Cajun standards) Cubans, who are attempting to teach her "how to talk proper".

Try hearing it when the wife is seriously P1335D off! Not what I'd quite characterize as beautiful, but I get what you're saying and agree. It seems to fit somewhere between Spanish and Italian. At least she is beautiful, so that goes a long way.

Would you mind visiting my work place, if only to teach this simple lesson? I'll buy you a serious lunch if my internal emails could somehow become more legible...

I wanted to teach overseas. So, I went to a job fair where directors of international schools interview teachers who want to teach in their schools. I was offered a job and I took it. This was four years ago. I'm actually in between jobs now. That four year stint was in Nanjing. My new job is in Beijing - and I can't wait to live there. It's a fantastic city!

Another funny thing is when they try to guess where i am from they say AL, TX, or MS because in north LA we have "southern" accents.
same here, Hurricane Katrina did not get us either. I live in Lake Charles, and it was Rita for me, I didnt get much damage(had some shingles, chimney fell down, and we had to replace our downstairs floor). Then the boardwalk is still ****ed up
