Man, Let's all thank Mr. Copeland for Cajun Fries. I cook and Im a good cook but there's no way I could have come up with that. Maybe Al Copeland didn't create it but his company sold it. Imagine how good cajun fries and sweet potato pie would taste together. WOW!

I'd just like to comment that Popeye's in New Orleans tastes COMPLETELY different than what we get here in Arkansas, which rates a very distant second...the NO version set my tastebuds off years ago, but I've never found quite the flavor anywhere else...maybe it's the atmosphere!

That story is sad to read. Popeye's is one thing I miss about living in the south. They have popeye's in Portland, but it's not the same.

True, Popeye's in Brooklyn is bland. And come'on you know they biscuits don't be poppin'. Probably demographic research ya'know, people up here in Massachusetts can't take spicey foods.

I have to agree with ya'll. When I go out of town, I end up at a Popeye's and the spicy is usually what we call mild.
I wonder if his family will continue with the Christmas lights. Harry Lee and Al Copland all within a year, too many changes for this community at one time; it's unsettling. |
