Lightbulb I am moving to Shreveport or Bossier City area, I need a job but I have a small problem.

I am moving to the Shreveport, Bossier City area to go to school @ LSUS, I am needing to find work within the next month or so, so I can go ahead and get moved down and get use to the area before school starts. I am a year of experience in a daycare and call center, also now I am an Executive Assistant at the local Housing Authority. The small problem is that I have a misdemeanor on my record and I am doing probation for it. My resume is good and my skills are great, but that one thing keeps me from getting jobs, I have applied at US Support and didnt get approved. So is there anywhere that I can get a job at?

I can't speak from experience, so the only advice I can give you is to be up front about it. Employers don't like to hire someone and later on find out that there was a past issue. They can dismiss you later for not telling them.

Perhaps there is a career/job counselor at LSUS that can give you advice.
