Default MOVING BACK HOME (to Caddo/Bossier)AND NEED ADVICE

Hi everyone!
We'll we are moving back to settle down near the grandparents. I could REALLY use some suggestions/advice from the Shreveport/Bossier area!

So I can only research so much info on the net. As far as schools go, I am concerned that public schools will not meet the needs of my children...I did notice that there are magnet programs available. However, we missed the testing date in Feb. and there is a LONGGGGG waiting list...maybe next year?
So now, I am looking to fork out for private school tuition but would truly prefer my children to go to public. Any decent public elementary schools out there w/ gifted programs and great extra curriculum activities? We would prefer to live on the outskirts like as far as Benton/Stonewall....no longer than a 25-30 min. commute to downtown Shreveport...and I have no problem driving my kiddos to school. Which brings me to my next question!

Can anyone recommend a real estate agent that deals with rentals, single family homes? Again, there's not much in the Times or craigs, so any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!!!

Last question!! Did I miss the crawfish season?!?!!? We will head down that way next month, and I am crossing my fingers!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

MODERATOR:

We don't typically remove threads but if you will direct message me with the name of the other thread I'll be glad to merge it.

Word of caution - realtor recommendations may be DM'd to the member, but promotion of or solicitation by realtors is against the Terms of Service. I'd suggest contacting the larger national companies - most of them will have a rental division.

Good luck with your move!
