Tonight (Thursday night) the Lake Charles Little League team, representing the Southwest, defeated the Southeast team, Tampa, Florida by a score of 6-1.
Lake Charles now advances to the U.S. Championship game against Hawaii on Saturday in Williamsport, PA and the winner of that game will play for the
Little League World Championship game this Sunday.
Lake Charles was not only representing the State of Louisiana but Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado as well. Now, they'll be representing the entire
continental U.S. when they play Hawaii.
