If you have an expungement of record you can legally, and truthfully, state that you were not arrested. The expungement removes everything from your record pertaining to that issue. Keep in mind that consulting your attorney is best in these matters and take my advice as a friend in passing, not your consulting attorney.
It is important after an expungement to have your criminal background check run to make sure that nothing shows up. This should be of great peace of mind for you as well. If you are denied employment due to a background check you have a right to receive said report and to challenge the information. You cannot be discriminated against due to an expungement.
Good luck.
