NELA Celtic Festival (Patterson: venues, working, outdoor)

I've been attending this for the past 2 years and intend to go again this year.

Always been great fun. Anyone else on here been or plan to go this year?


They switched venues from the Zoo to the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. I prefer an outdoor setting but it will be interesting to see how the change effects the festival.

If you haven't been to it you should consider it, even if you are not of Celtic heritage.

Hi cynical....hope to see you at the IKE next weekend? Wanna help out? I'm the volunteer coordinator and saw your post and wondered if you'd like to get more involved?

Either way...let's hoist a Guinness together and enjoy some great music and revelry!

Any other time I'd be glad to help out but this year my fiancee is with me, got a room across the street etc..


We will be there tomorrow most of the day and I'll hoist quite a few Guinness'.


Next year I'd be interested in becoming more involved though, I enjoy the event.

I wish Needfire and Beth Patterson both played the same day as I cannot devote 2 days to the festival this year hehe.
