Belcher, LA
I have to meet to pick up my step-daughter in Belcher (it's the halfway point), and I was wondering if there is a gas station there, or anything like that?

There is a small gas station at the crossroads in Ida, a few miles south of the state line. I believe the gas station at the state line has been closed for a few years now. There is also a gas station in Hosston, which will probably be nearest to Belcher. Otherwise, it's north Shreveport if you want a gas station. There is literally nothing in Belcher. There are homes, a church or two, and cotton gins, and that's about it. Belcher is one of those places that time simply forgot.

Thanks! We really don't have to have a gas station per say, just a "landmark" of any kind to be able to meet at to pick her up. I haven't been down 71 in years and couldn't remeber which towns had what. I figured the one right across the state line was closed, it needed to be a long time ago. We have to keep this in the "middle" so it will have to be around Belcher. Thanks again!

No problem. Well, unfortunately there's nothing really in Belcher. If this link works, this should give you an idea of what I mean when I say "nothing". lol
belcher, la - Google Maps
Thinking a little more, if you go one town north to Gilliam, turn east off Highway 71 and onto Lay Street (it's in a big curve, hard to miss), go down a little bit and there is a little downtown area. It's very tiny but there are a handful of storefronts there. That could work.
Wish I could help more. Good luck!
