Default Moving to Bossier City??

We are thinking of moving from Buffalo, NY area to Bossier City this year. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how the job market is for "local" truck drivers? I have been a over the road driver for to long and just want to be home with my family, I have been driving for 18 years and have no tickets or accidents. Also any other tips on the area would be great! Thanks....

Well living in a very small town 60 miles east of Shreveport/ Bossier, I think it's a pretty neat place. Someone coming from a large place might think otherwise. The Red River separates the two cities. Two or three malls, any eating place you want, Board walk with all kind of shops including Bass Pro. About anything you want. Try these.

Tango Transport is a very large trucking company based in Shreveport, so you might want to consider them. I'm not sure how many local options they have, but it might worth looking into. Also the food service companies in the area tend to hire local drivers.

Oh so true. When it hits 50 I'm freezing. And last night, however cold it got, it was too damn cold!

It's 5 deg. up here now, with the windchill about -20..... I get the 50 feeling cold, I was at Fort Hood TX. for 3 years. It took a long time to thicken the blood up when I got home....
