Default relocating to Alex/Pineville--lots of questions

My husband is taking a job in the Alex/Pineville area. We have to rent until our house sells here. Where are good places? Also, I teach secondary math. What are the best schools to try to teach in? We are going to have another baby in April, I won't need childcare until the next school year. Any advice on childcare? Is it better to go with a daycare facility, or just a person watching kids at their home? How much does daycare usually run there?

Those are all the questions I can think of right now, but I am sure I will have more later. Thanks for helping!!!

DAYCARE: daycare is around $85-$95 a week for each kid. A good one is Exa's.
SCHOOLS: schools to teach at.. im not sure i do know that grant parish schools arent very educational so TRY to go for Tioga or Pineville. Those are the best in my opinion.

HOUSING: what kind of house are you looking for? A suburban brick type, or a trailer, or a temporary cheap not-so-good house? How many bedrooms?
