Default Alexandria Montessori

Does anyone know anything about the montessori in Alexandria? Is it a good one? Cost? Hard to get into? Anything?

From what I've heard, the Montessori school on North Bolton Avenue is supposed to be a good school but I don't know the cost. This school is often just called "Montessori." You also have Peabody Montessori Elementary and Rosenthal Montessori Elementary which are both public schools in inner city Alexandria.

It's a good school...because a lot of people use it as daycare for 3 & 4 year olds, it might be more difficult to get a younger child in, but although they have a waiting list, I don't think that it's generally a problem. I'm not sure of the exact cost for next year, but less than $4000.00 (from what I've heard, it's pretty much in line with other private schools in the area) for full-day. 1/2 day classes are available for 3 & 4 year olds. There is a web site, www.cenlamontessori.org .
