Camping outside of New Orleans (Hammond, Westwego: hotel, activities, parks)

Hello,

I am staying in New Orleans for a few days next week. Once my reservation is up at the hotel, I was planning on heading outside of town to do some camping.

Does anyone know of some good camping spots located within an hour or two of the city?

I don't do any camping but these places may work for you, Bayou Segnette State Park-Westwego, Fountainbleu State Park-Mandeville, and Jellystone Park-Robert. Have fun and enjoy.
