what are some apartments you'd recommend near UL campus, low rent but clean? Doesn't have to be luxury, i'm broke, just need to finish school.

Clean would be nice, don't want spiders crawling in my mouth while I sleep.

washer and dryer preferred, fully furnished w utilities and internet all the better

comin from faytown arkansas. I've heard lafayette was just as funky as the faytown, so this shouldn't be all that bad.

thanks in advance ya'll

i know someone at UL that stays in the apartment complex on congress st., she likes it, but has 3 roommates.

my only helpful advice would be check out quickquarterclassifieds.com , that's the lafayette areas free classifieds website, pretty useful. i've found a couple of rent houses there

and you may have already tried it, but ive seen lots of apartments for rent and to share on craigslist in lafayette, check it if you haven't

Define "cheap"...since Katrina Lafayette housing has been anything BUT cheap.

That's kind of hard. There are some brand new apartments recently built all around the campus. The one closest to the campus is on University Ave. near Pinhook. I don't know what they have inside. I've only stayed at one apartment near campus but you really don't want to go there. It doesn't have a name. These apartments that cater to university students do fill up fast but there's regular openings because of the nature of college students switching colleges, moving out and into another place with friends, etc.
