Default Relocating to LA from FL

Hello out there. My husband got a job offer in Slidell, LA and we are considering moving there. However my concerns are, finding a good neighborhood and good school for my kids. Any suggestion?

Hi, I live in Slidell, for the past 11 years. The school system isn't that great but it is better than New Orleans by far. There are some very nice neighborhoods I think, I don't know what exactly you are looking for. Remember, Slidell got hit pretty hard by Katrina so housing is scarce right now. If you have any further questions I'll be checking in.

Default Honey Island elem and Northshore High

I've lived in "the Dell" my entire life. The best schools in town are Northshore high school district. Pope John Paul if you prefer private. Best neighbor hoods i would have to say are Crossgates, Willowwood, or Meadow Lake. Most of these are middle to upper class and NO FLOODING. Thats something you want to look for when you move. You have nice neighbor hoods like Eden Isle and Chamale Cove but you want to stay away from there, they are right on the water and had about 10 or more feet of water in their houses during Katrina. Just a piece of my mind to share. Good luck!!!
