Default where to visit between AR. and LA.

Someone on here suggested we check out Buffalo River in AR. for summer vacation, so I looked it up and it looks awesome. We are going in Aug. We are hitting there first then working our way back to Alexandria. Anyoene know anywhere else that we should definitely hit up between those two places? Anyplace awesome come to mind?

I canoed on the buffalo river. It is absolutely gorgeous up there. Even camped up on the rocky riverbank with rattlesnakes.

Between there I recommend checking out Driskill mountain, which is the highestp oint in Louisiana and also a very nice nature trail. I havent been there in 10 years though so Im not sure what shape its in.

I went to Driskill Mt. a couple of years ago. It's still in solid shape and is absolutely beautiful. Make sure you go down the way you came up. I biked up the usual way, but came down the other side into someone's property. They were not too happy.
