Please provide more info about Central area. I just investigated the Central area on Google street view...I like what I see. Nice, quiet neiboorhood? Safe enough to raise a child? Central school district as good or about same as Zachary?

Yes, yes, and yes.

"Central" is a large geographical area of East Baton Rouge Parish roughly bordered by the Amite, Comite, and LA 64. It is a white middle class, semi rural area that decided to incorporate so it could form its own school system, as it was tired of all of the shenanigans surrounding the East Baton Rouge school system.

Central is a nice area. I've never lived there personally but, I have friends that do and like it. I enjoy going to Lancaster's to shop. Good school system too.

Default Moving to Baton Rouge Area

I too am moving soon to the Baton Rouge area from out of state. I have a high school student and am looking for the best school and living in a safe neighborhood. The new job will be in the Zachary area. Can anyone recommend the most desirable area to live? Thanks!
