Basically, they're putting it to market. Which is a good sign. There will be SOMEONE else within 5 years, I'd bet my life savings on it. However, the jobs won't be initially as good as it was before.
Gosh knows this city needs it. I do a lot of work in the Bastrop area. Really hit it hard. Everyone seems to commute. Feels like the next Lake Providence, Tallulah, etc. Still some good stuff/wealth there but it diminishes.
NELA is really looking up: Foster Farms, V Vehicle, Gardner-Denver Expansion, Airport Terminal (may have problems with contractor), CenturyLink, and hopefully a new industry in Bastrop.
