Yea, well I live on the West Bank in Marrero, & let me say it's not as bad as they say, it's way way worse. This place is a gang bangers paradise and it's only getting worse. If it get's much worse I believe the national guard will have to be called back in. The thangs going on in my neighboorhood in just the last month, home invasion thank god the man was armed and killed the armed thugs coming through the door, why he was armed leaving his truck and going in the house, cause a few weeks earlier 5 punk a$$ gang bangers jumped a man and his wife getting out of there car, again in front of there house. It's a freaken revolving door for criminals in Louisiana, the sorry a$$ politicians need a 10/20/life rule for crimes commited with a gun,. Pull a gun=10 years, aim a gun=20 years, fire the gun life without parole, kill someone hang em by the freaken neck in front of the courthouse. It isn't racist, it's a way to get control where law abiding citizens can live a life in peace and not have to constantly look over there shoulders which you better damn well be doing if you live in the Wild Wild west bank of New Orleans.

I respectfuly disagree, the crime wave is spreading out of these small pockets and is spreading all over the West Bank, before Katrina maybe, but wake up or yall be like that old man that lived across from my neighbor that blasted that gang banger dead inside his front door. The paper reported that the old man stated that we lived in a quit neigborhood with no crime. Wrong the reason the neighbor was armed with a loaded gun is because of the incidents that have recently occured, everyone's been talking about it and everyone's staying armed. My suggestion is to tell family members to be vary careful while shopping & to stay aware of who's around when you come back to the house and if strangers are around to just drive by the house and get backup before going home. There are ways to make your neighborhood safer but it takes planning, before it only took a phone call to Harry Lee.

a lot of it has to do with the curruption of elected officials in louisiana violating citizens civil and constitutional rights on adailey basis.refusing to let citizens vote on issue's of importance to them by claiming this is why we elect representatives, like we elect them to take away our voting rights.louisiana currupt elected officials are a communist dictatorship government.with no accountability or crediability to any one.

I don't believe anyone's civil Rights are being violated, but I do believe louisiana has THE MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS in the united states, which makes it diffucult to control crime or anythang else when the people at the top are more concerned about how much money they can steal instead of doing the jobs they were electeded to do. This last wave of corruption is a real slap in the face to the people of jefferson parish, damn right I'm talking bought louisiana, and it ain't nothen nice.
