Default What is the best place to live that is under a one hour drive from both New Orleans and Baton Rouge?

My girlfriend and I are going to be moving to southern Louisiana soon and she is going to be working in New Orleans while I work in Baton Rouge. We are both willing to drive up to one hour to get to work, but we don't want to drive any longer than that; what would be the best place for us to move to that would keep both of our commutes under one hour?

Probably the most practical would be La Place. Be certain to monitor the traffic on 1-10 eastbound into New Orleans before the morning commute is begun. If there's a pileup, you can take US 61 into N. O.

That makes it about 20 - 30 miles to downtown N. O. and roughly 60 to the river at B.R.

Gonzales is another option in Ascension Parish. On a good day, it's about 30 minutes into BR and just under 60 to the NOLA CBD. Definitely monitor your traffic conditions in the morning. There are plenty of sources.
