Any home schoolers in Bossier City/Shreveport?
Hello,
I am currently looking into the idea of homeschooling my son when he's a little bit older. (He'll be 2 in October.) I've been researching online and reading books, but haven't had the chance to talk to anyone who is really doing it. I was just wondering if there was anyone locally who is homeschooling and who wouldn't mind telling me a little about it. Like, is there a group that gets together for group field trips and whatnot? What curriculum is good to try? How hard is it to work with the school board? Really, all sorts of questions. I know my son's young now, but I figure the sooner I get my research done then the sooner I can make a decision and make plans accordingly.
