Default Unsafest Cities regarding Louisiana

I don't know who makes these top 100 lists, but this website has Hammond, LA and Denham Springs, LA listed as two cities within the top twenty of the most unsafest cities in the entire country. Any Louisiana native like myself knows that is way far fetched and extremely inaccurate. Keep in mind that New Orleans is not even included on this list.

Well, I saw Plaquemine on the list and having lived there I was kinda like WTF, but then I saw Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and now I just completely discredit this whole damn list. Have any of you been to Pigeon Forge? Wow! How do Richmond, Atlanta, and Wilmington (NC) make this list and not NOLA or BTR. Denham? You've got to be kidding me. Pigeon Forge still takes the cake for me though.

It's based on a per capita rating and the ratio of policemen to residents. Even in its best year, the crime rating is almost twice the national average; so does Pigeon Forge's.

Crime in BTR is almost always isolated, but that means shooting which are about every night these days. Shootings are almost always in North Baton Rouge where I wouln't step foot in anyway.

WTH?????!!!!!! Where is Jennings, La (Jeff Davis Parish) on this list???? 28 unsolved murders since the 90's, 8 murdered girls in less then 5 years and left dumped on the road or in a bayou, the last being dumped off I-10!!!!! No leads, no news from the supposed task force, no media except for the fact that the people of this parish keep pushing for some type of media to keep the heat on. (kplctv.com has done an hour long program on this) and this is just the tip of the iceburg! Let us not forget the rampant drug trade that runs thru and operates in this area.
