You damn well CAN blame him for NOT doing his job.
Remind me to stay north on my next cross-country trip.

I'll make absolutely sure to remind you. If you are ignorant enough to judge an entire region that harshly, I don't care where you go, as long as you don't come near me.

Keep in mind that Tangipahoa Parish and neighboring Livingston Parish both have a strong history of KKK presence. It's not like this in most of the state and certainly NOT in Acadiana (SW Louisiana).
BTW, this Northeast Louisiana native is as disgusted by this as anyone. Black-White marriage may not be too popular in the day-to-day social realm, but even most conservative people I know would object to this denial on legal/constitutional principle.

I live a stone's throw from Livingston Parish and have many friends and co-workers that live there . The KKK hasn't had a viable presence in that area for many years .

I was born and raised here in BR. and it was about 1965-1967 that equal rights hit Town and all the signs for WHITES ONLY and BLACK ONLY came down in My high school. Then all things started being done to help the Blacks become equal .The fact is as I understand it is more money has been spent to educate the Blacks and make the world so they can live in harmony with the whites, well I could go on for literally hours on this subject by I will spare us all the BS.I have a BREC park next to my house and For the most part it is used solely by the blacks I caught a Young black male stealing a bicycle from one of My neighbors and as we waited for the Police to come all the other kids and a few adults that were there were all hanging out around us and as you can imagine I over heard a lot of comments but the one that hurt the most was when a young Black boy somewhere between 5-10 years old looked at the rest of the Young kids and said" come on ******s les us go."I do not use this word any longer and most white people I know do not use it ,if they do It is not around Blacks ,so who keeps teaching them this? There on people is all I can figure,If that Young Boy in the park stopped saying that word today along with every other person that says it WE are still 75-100 years away from any kind of racial respect. You have to Respect Your self before others will.I see where the descriptive word I used has been edited out just so there are no misunderstandings It was not the second version of the word I had written.Used in the context I meant I find this omission to be against My freedom of speech. The has got me going but will not go far with it How can You solve a problem when You can't speak Your mind in a civil manner.

And as I understand it , he is empowered to perform marriages , but not required to . Doesn't matter who's right , he's going to crash and burn anyway . The stage is set , he will be made an example of .

Nobody really thinks about it anymore.
This is not a marriage isssue that I'm talking about in this next paragraph, but I graduated with a guy from my high school, he was not even allowed to have his black friends over at the house b/c his parents said that the Bible said races were not supposed to mix.
But as for suing the judge now, I think that's a bit silly b/c they got married by another judge, so I say the hell with this guy.

seriously the majority of us in Louisiana would not care if they get married. Hell, half of us don't even know what colour we are LOL, all the mix that we have in us, especially the creoles, who's shades go from the darkest of the dark to the lightest of the light.
Why judge an entire region based on what one ******* did?
