Default Lafayette

Thinking about moving to Lafayette. Would really appreciate some feedback and advice on good elementary, and middle schools. Also, advice on good communities close to Uni. of LA. Really any and all information regarding the city would be great. Thank you

we just moved from lafayette a year ago. we lived in close to the river ranch area and my kids attended fatima. we moved from houston and were surprised at the housing costs. we thought the houses were more expensive in the respect that the houses were larger but didn't have the custom touches we had in houston. 95% of my friends sent their kids to private schools but i have to admit, we've moved back to houston and my kids are slightly behind, especially in math.

what is your price range and thought of the type of schools you want? everything is close in Lafayette, so I wouldn't worry about living close to UL unless you had a transportation issue. The Saint street area is nice and is close to UL. Older homes. I don't know what the schools are there.
