Default Is Denham Springs for everyone??

My husband and I are looking for houses and you seem to get the most for your buck in Denham. How much has it changed over time and is it safe to say EVERYONE is welcomed if ya know what I mean?

I am from Houma and I love it. I would move back in a heartbeat but the houses are high. Hope that helps.

It's gotten a lot of suburban growth over the years, especially recently. Traffic is terrible, though, as there are only three ways to get to BR from Denham.

As to the other question, well, you still have some hardcore elements that aren't as welcoming, but those people tend to live further out. As an alternative (if that makes you nervous), there's always Prairieville.

I have been looking at real estate, the prices seem reasonable, but where I live they are outragious! so that may be why they seem better to me. Thanks!

Denham is pretty safe for the most part, and i do know what you mean. With the addition of the juban rd exit on the interstate and the new hospital coming up down the road, the property values may not hold steady and be as 'affordable' as it is currently. Nonetheless, its a great place to live with great schools and lots to offer.

Moderator cut: ofensive remarks The biggest problem is the commute to and from B.R., it will be at least 10 years or so before any loop is constructed and things will only get worse until then.
