apt. info in Bossier City
First let me say that this cite is great! I am from Bossier City, but haven't lived there in years....I am moving back to the area and need to find a place for my mom. She is 83 and in great health. Looking at Preston Place, Tallowood or Village at the Downs. Any suggestions or comments.

There was a very nice Retirement Home in Bossier right off of Airline Dr. you went past Airline High School, go under the 220 by-pass and turn left into the drive to Willis Knighton Hospital. I had evacuated from Mississippi to Bossier City and ended up staying there for about 9 months. I drove by the Home often and my Uncle said he had a friend that stayed there and loved it. I was surprised by all the growth on the other side of 220 heading towards Benton.

Nary56 how long has it been since you've been to Bossier? If it's been over 10 years I think you'll be extremely impressed by how much the city has grown and matured. It's no longer a suburb to Shreveport, it is its own separate residential/retail market now. It's getting crowded, for sure, but it's become such a great place. You'll love being back there.
The facility that cbass mentioned, I don't know its name but it appears to be assisted living... I could be wrong. It's right in the thick of all the new development in north Bossier and is right next to an excellent hospital and a beautiful subdivision full of homes in the $350,000-$1 million+ range.

From what I understand it was a assisted living home, my Uncles friends' wife had passed away and that was why he chose to move. I am not sure what the monthly price was but I would say that this home might be expensive because it is very nice; but all of them are expensive. I also believe that there is another set of assisted living apartments on Shed Road you would turn right off of Airline (by Walgreens) onto Shed Road, on the right hand side of the road before you get to Benton Road.
