Default Angels / Ghosts / Spirits in Louisville

Has anyone seen angels/ ghosts / ufos here in Louisville or had anything spiritual happen to them here in KY? I'm very interested in this topic and hope to hear some good stories!

I haven't experienced anything personally, but here are some of the things I've heard.

Waverly Hills- old TB hospital in southwest Lville, has been featured on a couple of ghost hunter shows. I did the tour earlier this year; although I didn't see/feel anything, it was still cool.

Valley Hill shrine- near Springfield, KY. I don't know if people still go there or not, but I remember people used to say they saw the Virgin Mary and had holy experiences there.

There's several places in Bardstown that are supposed to be haunted: Federal Hill Cemetery, the old Jailer's Inn and the cemetery plot behind it. Not sure if Talbott Tavern is haunted or not, but there are bullet holes in the walls upstairs where Jesse James stayed.

What is it with this Waverly Hills place, I hear it mentioned a lot. Seems like some sort of weird attraction...ha.

Default my experiences

I was in my room taking a nap when I was in highschool and remember my moms voice calling that dinner was ready. I woke up to a strange clody shape in front of my face with an emphasis on pressure on my neck. I couldn't move my whole body. It only lasted about 10 seconds and then it vanished away from me almost like a vaccume effect. It was really wierd and something I'll never forget. My dad also swears he saw a shadow person in the same house. I'm older now but I always seem to get sleepy when I go back "home" to my parents. I hear that spirits seem to drain a persons energy and that might be the case here. I wasn't ever scared but it was the weiredest feeling being paralyzed like I was that day.

Location: Indian Hills (50 yards away from the Zachary Taylor cemetary)

That actually sounds like sleep paralysis, a fairly common and usually harmless condition. Here's couple links, one from Stanford and one from WebMD that offer further explanation:

I lived in an house on Baxter Avenue and Bardstown Rd in the attic apt for a short time
in the 1980's.One of my friends had drawn a picture of me of St Brigette statue from the Catholic Church across the street.Anyhow,I had it on my wall and it kept falling off the wall and would be about ten feet away across the floor. When I put it back up
it flew off the wall and did a flip and smacked me across the face with force.
I also was sitting on the floor one day and my apt was dark...a penny flew across the room and hit me and I was the only one there.Didnt live there for long but remember
these things quite well.

One more eperience I had was at an apt on Westport Rd and Crossridge Lane..I would have liked to have known about the location in the past. One night I was sitting in my Mom's living room and felt a presence and saw a waist down appariton of a woman's lacy Victorian style dress going up the stairs when it got to the top of the stairs it was
like a white ball of fire and it darted to the left hallway.I ran upstairs and my Mom and
Stepdad were both sleeping.Would have loved to have seen the whole body but could
only see the flowing dress.

@ Wendy, I think maybe spirits are attracted to you...? How did you feel when these things happened to you?

I was in Chicago with my dad and brother and we were fishing along the river. We finished up around 10pm (with no luck) so we headed back towards our hotel. As we were walking along the river, we looked up into the sky and saw 3-5 dots of lights moving up down left and right. It was in the direction directly over the great lakes. At first we thought it was some type of lazer lights moving against the clouds in the sky but we soon realized they were UFO's. 3-5 lights turned into 1 or two dots in the sky, and then around 8-10 dots were hovering in the sky. Some would disappear and then reappear. It was crazy! That is the one and only time I've ever seen anything like that.

My aunt once told me of a huge spaceship she swears by. She was in farmland off US42/prospect in the late 90's and remembers walking outside and seeing a huge spaceship hover at an extremely low level. She said it was probably the size of a football field and moved without noise. She said it was really creepy and changed her for life. I am always skeptical of these types of stories but have no reason why she would want to lie about this. I believe her as she was very emotional while telling the experience.
