Most of the El Napal's are the best. Great selection and predictable service. If you become a regular at any of them, they remember you well.

hands down this goes to el toro. all the others are simply cookie-cutter versions of each other. my favorite sushi chef, who happens to be mexican, turned me on to it and i must say it destroys the competition.

Another vote for El Toro. Seems to be the place that many Mexicans themselves recommend.

El Tarasco in St. Matthews is also not bad.

my vote is for El Mundo on Frankfort Ave simply for their Margarita's. Not the traditional taste, but knock back two and you will be good to go

This is definitely my fav mexican food in town. Though it is always very crowded and hard to get a seat. Great great food! Good prices!

Another favorite is Santa Fe...across the st. from Papa Johns Stadium....they have huge burritos that are extremely tasty.

I haven't been to el toro, tarasco, and the others mentioned above. Good to know that info!

How is La Rosita in New Albany? I keep hearing rave reviews about it.

Its by FAR the best. Also the best places are the least known places on Preston in Louisville and Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville. Also some great taco trucks...see the forum that is free at Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, house prices, home value estimator, recent sales, cost of living, crime, race, income, photos, education, maps, weather, houses, schools, neighborhoods, and more

Default mexican

Loz Aztecas (by Westport Village)

Its similar in taste to El Nopal but the service is a heck of a lot better.

i love el-mundo! fish tacos there are amazing! i just think of it more as a mexican-fusion kinda thing, if that makes any sense.
