Service Description
Provides information and technical assistance to persons with autism and their families and service providers across Kentucky. Operates as a service of the College of Education and Human Development, University of Louisville. Services include providing families with an overview of available resources and interventions; and providing workshops, presentations and training seminars for parents and professionals. Also provides school-based services, working directly with teams of professionals and parents to facilitate their development, implementation and evaluation of educational and community-based programs for children and adolescents with autism.

Service Description

Service Description
Provides individualized, coordinated services specifically for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Services include: speech language therapy, occupational therapy, behavior management therapy, social skills therapy (individual and group formats), educational/IEP consultation, and biomedical consultations (for medical/medication issues).

Service Description
Provides monthly informational meetings including guest speakers on topics of concern to families affected by autism. Also provides resource, school, and parent contact information, publishes a quarterly newsletter, and acts as an advocacy organization on legislative issues involving autism. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00am - 12:00 Noon at the Kentucky School of the blind. Free child care is included during these meetings.
