Need a realtor recommendation. (Louisville, Bardstown: real estate, 2015, live)

I'm looking for a good realtor. I encountered some problems with one I used in my prior town, mainly because I'm a early twenties, alternative type. Realtors don't seem to enjoy taking me seriously, despite the fact that I'm well versed in all this by now. I'd like an lgbt friendly realtor that actually listens to what I want out of my future home.

I cant imagine this would be an issue with any realtor who specializes in Highlands and Clifton.
We are real estate nuts and currently (well, sort of) looking for another place, and I would say most of the realtors we have had interactions with would have no issues whatsoever with someone's chosen lifestyle.

I totally agree. Me suggesting a gay realtor did not suggest anyone would have any problem or even ask anyone's orientation. However, I think in general, just as spanish speaking folks want a latin realtor, African Americans like a black realtor, there are many in the gay community that wish for a gay realtor. Also, a gay realtor is more likely to know about LGBT friendly businesses, bars, and events. I happen to know alot about it locally because I have several gay friends. That is just the way it is!

I knew exactly what you meant. Frankly I am more comfortable seeking out an LGBT realtor. Though I'm sure there are plenty of wonderful realtors this is just the route I feel more comfortable using. As an lgbt of color I do need to worry about the details!(Unfortunately><!)

Totally agree. I was just trying to put an exclamation point on the fact that the
OP should disregard any reservations they may have on people being judgmental
on lifestyle issues. We are currently trying to get a lifelong friend who is Gay and
lives in Park Slope, NY to move here. That's how confident we are that there are
not only enough amenities to accommodate their lifestyle, but they would actually
enjoy it here, have a very pleasant experience. The Bardstown Road Pride event
was one of the best ones I have ever seen, even if a little small, relative to other
ones.

Thunder...you are aware the Bardstown rd pride event was in its first year...and is the second major annual pride event?


Louisville has a major pridefest like any big city, and it attracts tens of thousands. It is downtown every year.

Louisville has one of the highest percentage of LGBT in America...nearly in the top 10.
