I know Kerns bakery makes the original (trademarked) Derby Pie.

Anyone know where I can buy one retail (vs in a restaurant). I want to take one back up here to Ohio for an office party, and would like to buy the 'original' Kerns.

Any recommendations for a grocery store, etc, that sells these.

Thanks!

I thought maybe Krogers sells them. I could be wrong.

We buy ours from www.atasteofkentucky.com
They have a store too... Shelbyville Rd maybe?

Oh, and this site actually lists the stores that sell them: Kern's Kitchen | Derby-Pie® (http://www.derbypie.com/new/bring_a_pie_home.html - broken link)

To be honest, Kern's isn't as good as the more homemade ones you can find around Louisville.

I saw stacks of Derby Pies in Kroger's in Lexington yesterday. I'd assume Derby Pie is available in all of the Kroger stores in Kentucky this weekend...

(But I bought plain pecan instead!)
