Default relocating with dog

I am 50s female relocating to Louisville with my dog from Cincinnati for my job, but my family is staying there for now. No children. I will be working downtown but looking for a nice safe friendly neighborhood with quick access to I-71 since I will probably go back to Cincy on weekends. Looking for moderately priced apartment with safe place to walk my dog. Don't mind city or suburbs or drive up to 30 minutes. Any suggestions?

crescent hill is close to downtown, just off 71 and has a dog park at zorn and river road. also has the frankfort ave. corridor with shops and restaurants and is a very safe neighborhood. zorn ave has several apartment complexes that are nice.

We answer this one a lot and it always seems to be the same! But kytoaz is correct about the Cresent Hill area. Also the Highlands would be great.
