G3 Illustrated - It's more than a magazine... it's a movement!
::. gaylouisville.com .:: - Louisville Premiere On-Line Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered Community! (broken link)
The largest gay concentration is in Old Louisville, where many gay couples have restored historic homes. The Highlands, specifically Cherokee Triangle, has long been home to many gays. Gays are also drawn to Clifton, Butchertown, Germantown, and Crescent Hill to some extent.
g3 magazine should help connect you to the gay community. I am straight, so I do not know much about gay nightlife other than that there are several nightclubs and gay businesses, and most are located in or near downtown.
The Connection - Louisville's Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Complex is a large gay megaclub located in east downtown and is probably the center of gay louisville. Also, many gay people have been moving into condos being built in the area nearby. I would try the above two websites to network with local gays and ask them questions as they will know the scene better than a straight guy. Good luck.
