I am moving soon and have probably 20 cans of things like soup/diced tomatoes, and a similar number of boxes of rice/pasta, etc that I would rather not haul cross-country with me. I did a quick search but only saw info on institutional donations (from grocery stores, etc). I was trying to find a drop-box/quick drop type of place where I could donate these items. Does anyone know of such a place?

Might check with some churches. Down in Mayfield, the Council of Churches has a food pantry that takes donations of food. I know you can't drive to Mayfield but just saying there may be something like that with some of the churches in your area.
