My parents used to rave about the Hickory Pitt for BBQ. Another favorite was The Wheel on lower Brownsboro Road. Sunday afternoon was spent at The Blue Boar.

Default Watterson Tower

This office building off Newburg Rd used to house a very popular night club during the 80s. Anyone remember the name? I think it was replaced by "Horsefeathers" in the early 90s.

To answer my own question, Rascals was the name of the bar I was trying to remember. Though I frequented often, memories are cloudy.

Now I thought the Hooters on Dixie is where Toy Tiger's used to be. On that corner before Toy's R Us. And since we've been stuck out Dixie, nobody mentioned Stacy's restaurant that was right next to Chi-Chi's.

There also used to be a white building somewhere near one of the freeways Possibly going towards Fort Knox that looked like a castle slightly and I think it used to be an old Toy store(massive one) And over near 15th street there was a Hardware store called Levy's where my grandmother would go often instead of ACE. I hated going to Bacon's but I wish it was still there and not that damn Peddler's Mall. There used to be an italian restaurant near there before Texas Roadhouse that let you draw on the table cloth(paper) and used noodles as straws. It felt like there was a new place there every two months till TR bought it.
