I don't mean to sound other than helpful, but that answer is mightly lame. You were asked to describe what you seek and you gave a general answer. Do you work? Do you need section 8, do you need low price vs quality of life? This is your time to sound off. A lot of people on this blog will gladly help you, but you must do your homework and tell us what is important to you.

I'm young (20 years old)
Affordible housing
Normal young adult looking to move out and live a normal life, I like the area a lot and was curious as if to any good apartments are in Oldham County.

Take an apartment in a city like Boston for $520 a month and put it in Oldham. I'll take it. My point is I'm looking for somewhere to live so I can work as well. All I want to know is what apartments are available. Privately owned or business owned, doesn't matter. Any links or anything I can look at?

There is Deer Park (one of my agents manages them) I am ok with the apartments on Yager Ave in LaGrange (there are two sets) The apartments on Walnut in LaGrange are ok

You will find the best "young adult" complexes in Eastern Jefferson County. If your credit will carry the load at all. Buy a home as soon as you can.

I will post numbers and names tomorrow for your consideration

V, I thought of you this morning as I reviewed a list of foreclosed properties available for sale. Are you aware that you can own an apartment-like condo for much less than the cost of rent? Including the monthly maintenance fee?

I am relocating from CA to KY. I have 2 children and have seen that Oldham County has good school districts. I'd like to live in Oldham County, so my children can be in school there, but be close enough to Louisville to be able to work there if necessary. Basically I'm looking for an apartment to be a temporary home until I'm able to purchase a home in Oldham. I've looked online, but nothing comes up for oldham county, everything I've found has been just over the county line in Jefferson. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking at an August move, oh, and I have a medium sized dog (50 lbs), so I'm looking for pet friendly places. Thanx!

Most likely, you can rent a house easier and for about the same rent as an apartment because of the dog. We have 65 & 95 lb Labs so we understand your love and need for an acceptable pet place too. Are your children same sex or do you need a three bedroom place?

There are always several houses for rent (some don't look too great, but they are acceptable.)

What is your budget range?

I agee with you that the oldham county school system is top rated, but i went there a few yearrs ago and i can tell you from experience that it is more like being in a jail than a school. i was expelled from South Oldham High School from being sick, and yes i really was sick. I had a doctors note from everyday that i had missed, yet they still said i could not ever come back. Several teachers there will give your children detention if they are not inside the doorway on the first bell (not the final bell) and i could go on and on. I understand that these teachers are trying to teacher punctuality, however to have a mark on there record for not being early to class is rediculous and i for one have made a point to make sure my children never go to South oldham or any oldham county high schools for that matter.
As for Oldham county high school itself. Kids and teachers alike and so snoby there its rediculous. my mom use to work there and she said that the kids there ere so disrespectful and the teachers would sit there and play along. I can not speak bad about north oldham high or any of the middles schools or elementary schools.... and the preschool is wonderful. But on my opinion south oldham and oldham county high are horrible. and the only thing bad about south oldham high if you are again homosexuals... is that two of the teachers there are homosexual....however they are two of the best teacher in the world!!!
