Lightbulb Free news?

Used to scroll through courier for local news but no longer since they charge nearly $15 a month. WHAS seems the best so far as an alternative but what do you use?

as well as occasional visits to the other local outlets - WHAS, WDRB, etc. WDRB's set to really improve its sports coverage with the recent addition of two longtime C-J sports reporters.

^ Thanks for those suggestions!

^^ I use WDRB.

The C-J in print is not worth its cost IMO. I just heard their Sunday paper is THREE dollars now! I used to buy the C-J quite often but I was never impressed by the publication.

For many, many years I was a subscriber to the CJ but no more. I do go online from time to time and scroll thru the news, but lately it redirects me to a white page where I can select which subject like entertainment or whatever. Sometimes it won't go back to the CJ. Other times lately, a voice comes on about subscription. Are they fazing out the "free news"~?

free news is a thing of the past with CJ. They charge close to $15 a month to read online and $15 a month to give you the delivered paper. Kinda of a bargain now that their sunday paper is now $3!
One of their editors said they expected a 15% drop in online viewership but I haven't met anyone who wants to pay for their professional and error-free articles. www.Kentucky.com is still free and surely if a significant event in Louisville is newsworthy, they will post.

Thanks to the links above to other free news sites for Louisville news.
