Default Moving from Pittsburgh to Louisville

I'll be moving to Louisville in a few months after I'm done with school. I'll be moving from my parents house in Pittsburgh into my own apartment. I'm a 22 year old, single woman so I'm looking for an area that is safe but also close to any fun/exciting areas for younger people. I'm looking to spend around 700-750 a month, but might go a little higher. I have some family that lives there but I'm just looking to get some more input on areas to live.

I also wanted to know what is there to do in Louisville? I've been there a few times but it's been a number of years since I have been there last. Any information would be extremely helpful! Thanks!!

Welcome! Search my posts. Louisville is a great city. I would recommend living as close to Cherokee Park and Bardstown Rd as possible. Very walkable and fun. An area where you will meet people your agis near Molly Malone's on Baxter Ave. There is so much to Louisville and it is similar to Pittsburgh in ways with its renaissance, artsy vibe, great foodie culture, and progressive scene.

Welcome to Kentucky! Louisville always has something to do. It's a fun and vibrant city.
One of my favorite US cities.

Anyone who can find only bad things about a place (or only good for that matter) hasn't considered or explored it enough for their opinion to be worth anything. Just throwing that out there.

Right?! I can't stand Louisville but I can type a ka-jillion bulleted points about the good of the city. It's just that the bad outweighed the good so significantly for me that I gladly bailed!

I'm just curious about how you are enjoying Louisville. I lived in Pittsburgh for 5 years, and am thinking about moving down that way in the Spring.

I just moved to Louisville from Indianapolis and it is okay so far, I live in Middletown, its a part of Louisville but kind of like a sub urban area. I live in a nice area and its only $599 a month.
