Is this a serious question? This is like comparing Louisville to New York City. There is no comparison here....

Don't know what your criteria is for relocation or what you are looking for in a community---but I've been to both cities, and I prefer Louisville.

Im sure Springfield is a great town, but it is simply so much smaller than Louisville that it is hard to compare.

Springfield has a population of about 150,000. Louisville and the surrounding county has around 1 million.

Louisville has Actor's Theater, Churchill Downs, a top college sports program at the University of Louisville, the Louisville Slugger Museum, Shakespeare in the Park, the Frazier International History Museum, a triple A baseball team, the Louisville Science Center, the Louisville Ballet, two IMAX theaters, the Muhammad Ali Museum, the Belle of Louisville steamship, the Louisville Orchestra, the Patton Museum, the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Kentucky Opera, Fourth Street Live, an arena football team, a zoo, the Speed Art Museum, St. James Art Festival, an extreme sports park, Six Flags amusement park, a first class parks system and an international airport.

Springfield has Missouri State University, the Springfield Art Museum, the Air and Military Museum of the Ozarks and Wilson's Creek National Battlefield.

I'm sure Springfield is a very nice little town, but this is no contest. Even if you prefer a rural life-style, the answer is to move about 30 minutes outside of the city and still have access to a ton of actvities.
