Looking for home to rent (Fairdale: rentals, mortgage, house)

Hello, all. I grew up in the Fairdale area but am now living in the J-Town area. Me and my wife are expecting a child, and we're looking for a home to rent.

My budget for rent a month is about $800-$1000

What's the best area to find a home to rent? I'd buy, but I plan on relocating in the next couple years and don't want to be tied down with a mortgage in this economy. Any input would be great. Thanks.

There are homes for rent all over in that price range. Do you want to stay in J-Town, or live close to your or your wife's jobs? I would check the Craigslist rentals. I rent a house in J-Town that I found on Craigslist.
