Does anybody know why the sidewalk at 7th and Hill has "closed" signs on it? What's going on down there? Are they renovating or something?

Oh, it could be...I hadn't thought of that. I wonder why the road is open, but the sidewalks are closed, though? On Magnolia (if I remember right) everything is closed and there's police tape that says "DO NOT CROSS!"

How much have things changed in the last two years? It seemed to be getting worse when I left, but I still felt safe walking around, even at night.

It is FINE. It's an urban area, so there are some sketchy people, but it is not dangerous unless you are into drugs.
