I am in Love with Louisville... (La Grange: best neighborhood, 2009, buying a home)

censusdata... I see the little Louisville Metro decal on those maps... does that mean they have a good clear map of every named neighborhood? I've been looking all over for such a thing. I ask people, okay, what's the boundary between say Crescent Hill and Clifton, and nobody knows. My son's in zoning and he can't find a map... Where'd you get it?

I think the boundary btw Clifton and Crescent Hill is Ewing Ave

I hate to say it, but when will everyone catch on to the POWER of google ! Everything I know, google finds for me!

I use Google Earth and it gives you satellite imagery of the place you are trying to find(better than a map), just type in the address and it will take you to that general location(might miss it by a couple of buildings).You can use the hybrid which gives you satellite imagery along with street names,city names,etc. It is a great tool to use.

LOL, I ALWAYS have a window open just for google! Love reading about Louisville, and those maps are great! I never could figure out boundry lines when I lived there.

If you are looking/capable of buying even a simple home, there are lots of great purchase values in the entire Louisville MSA. (metropolitan statistical area) including S. Indiana, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, & Bullitt Co's KY

tc, every dollar you save in housing cost in suburban counties is more than made up for by paying $3 per gallon to commute 40 miles round trip. Those counties have also had much larger percent housing declines than Jefferson Co has.
