Hello, all.

What's a decent apartment complex's in the following areas, Preston Highway, Bardstown Rd, near Fern Creek, Jefferson Mall, hurstbourne?

I don't want anything too upscale. We just want something is efficient & in a decent area. Me & my fiance have a 4 year old, and a baby on the way. We're in the process of saving for a house, so this will be a temporary 1 year lease deal. So, we'll need two bedrooms for the time being.

We looked at the Park @ Hurstbourne, but there lower square footage floorplans didn't have W/D connections.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Definitely stay away from Park @ Hurstbourne. That place has gone downhill over the years. Fern Creek has quite a few nice complexes. I can't think of the name off the top of my head, but it's a complex directly behind the Kroger in Fern Creek. I know a guy who used to live there before buying a home and liked it a lot. Also, I had some family members who lived in Park Lake apartments a few years back. They were nice, average, fair priced apartments and my family had no major concerns in their year there. Tons of folks I've crossed paths with have lived or currently live in Clearwater Farms as well. That seems to be most popular. I don't see what the hype is about it though. They're nice but seem to be overpriced and in an odd spot-though it's not too far from J-Mall.

Hope this helps at least a little. I don't know too much about the apartments here. I lived in Post Oak Apartments in Lyndon for 6months years ago when my parents split up & my mom was house shopping. I don't know how it is now, but when we were there, it was convenient and we had no issues with the apartment, safety, etc.

Best of luck to you. Definitely scope out the reviews of every complex you look at as well-that's where you'll find out a lot.
