I'm getting married in late May, and looking for a restaurant to hold a rehearsal dinner. We expect around 25 people and our budget is around $20/person, though we might be able to go slightly higher. We would prefer a place that has a private room/area. Any suggestions?

I like Volare for that...might be more like 30/ per person plus drinks

Try Ward 426
Brown And Sellbach Hotels

S. Indiana may be cheaper

Like Olive leaf bistro in jeffersonville

I went to a rehearsal dinner at the old spaghetti factory for a family member's wedding and we were given a private room, and it was also pretty cheap if I recall-under $20 (not including alcohol). Not the fanciest of places by any means but it included a salad, main dish, ice cream, and I believe a general drink of your choice (i.e. soda).

I heard BBC was good spot too. Not sure about prices but I've heard people had fun rehearsals there.

downtown BBC on 3rd and main has a private upstairs, called, I think, the bourbon barrel loft. That would be a neat spot, and may be more moderately priced. Plus, plenty of bars to walk to on main, market, and 4th st for an after party!

Yup sounds like a good gig to me. I'm ashamed to say that I've never been to BBC..I need to try it out.

I know this city inside and out...I see it with eyes wide open, searching new places, always exploring. Maybe that is why I am such an evangelist for the city. I have traveled all over...most Louisville residents do not realize it is a special place with a high QOL...but I think outsiders are discovering it based on the number of apartment projects I see announced every week.
