Still harping on it from Ohio. Odd!

Does it matter where I live. I can live anywhere and think whatever I want about the merger.

If you're against smoking bans, though, your opinion is now entirely irrelevant to me and I don't give you an ounce of credit in anything you ever say ever again. You do understand how dangerous cigarettes are, right? And I just found a few months ago based on allergy testings that I'm actually allergic to tobacco smoke. That means someone smoking a cigarette by me will not only give me the side effects of second-hand smoke, but it could cause my immediate breathing problems to worsen, as I already suffer from asthma as well. If you want to kill yourself, please go ahead. I, for one, would not like to put chemicals in my body that will kill me both short-term due to allergies and long-term due to lung cancer.

Therefore, your opinion means less than dirt to me and you should be ashamed of yourself. There's really no point in debating a topic with someone so ignorant they can't even understand the benefits of a smoking ban in indoor public places.

I think you should go watch the episode of Penn and Teller's Bullsh*t dealing with secondhand smoke and it might teach you something. If I was mayor of Louisville I'd get rid of the smoking ban and dissolve the metropolitan government and return Louisville to it's old school pre-2003 state. And yes I am a smoker and I am not ashamed of it.

I don't understand why we need smoking bans. Wouldn't it be much simpler to obey the constitution, and let people use their 2nd amendment right to defend themselves from smokers, by putting them six feet under, where the smoking is leading them anyway?

Nope, the second amendment gives us the right to keep and bear arms, however, it doesn't give us the right to kill stupid people.

Smoking sucks no doubt but banning it in restaurants should be up to the owner not the govt. I know how to avoid such establishments so why cant everyone else ?
