Youth Sports ar and around Louisv (Louisville, Pleasure Ridge Park: YMCA, catholic schools, association)

My family is relocating to Louisville from Mentor, Ohio near Cleveland.

In Cleveland and surrounding communities, alot of effort is given to children of all ages to promote their interest/development in education and athletic programs.

With that said, I been told by many friends that Louisville, Ky and surrounding communities have great education standards; however, I probably wont see the same quality of youth (sports) programs that I'm used to...

Here's where I need help/guidance...

My kids (boys) are 5 and 9 are are very active in sports; football (full contact), baseball and basketball. Can anyone help me and tell me what's available...?

In my history, nothing in Louisville matches the Catholic schools sports programs especially for football. Non-parochial baseball is outstanding (sign-ups about now) in several communities such as St. Matthews and Pleasure Ridge Park. Soccer has grown by leaps and bounds too.

I would click on: Team Sports, Uniforms, Equipment, Shively Sporting Goods, Louisville, KY (broken link) for exact details. In Oldham County, North Oldham Little League, Oldham County Youth Soccer Association are big. The YMCA is a great source of specific information.
