Hello! We are moving to Louisville and have decided to rent for awhile until we understand and know the area more. Any recommendations on apartments in the 40245 zip code? We have 2 Border Collies and a daughter who will be a sophomore. My son is in college, and will not be around much. We are looking for at least a 2 bedroom place. Thanks so much!

Rent whatever you can get. People are offering over list price for rentals too. Growing here alot. That entire zip is upscale.

LC Middletown formerly known as LC Idlewild. Great community with townhome style apartments and private entrances. The community has an on site OM Fitness Club and a restaurant as well as a very nice pool. I lived there for a while and found rent fair and the community and staff to be great.

They allow pets too and the community makes it easy to walk your dogs and get out.

Any reason why it has to be that zip? Peter and others are right, that most of that area is affluent single-family homes, the only exception being near the Ford plant in Coldstream/Worthington Hills.

There are only 5 complexes in that zip code, and LC Idlewyld is the best one I know of, but don't know the others all that well. 2/2 will run $1,100-ish there.
