I appreciate STX's last comments. What STX doesn't know is the character or history of Oldham County. I welcome any member of this forum to take advantage of a personally guided tour of Oldham County. If anyone would like to see the beauty of this county and understand just how wonderful it is, I welcome you to schedule a tour with me.

Tom, I may be down..you surely know the county better than I, especially historically. However, with only so many miles of roads, I have at the very least driven all the main drags plus entered a dozen or more subdivisions, including your own, Briar Hill.

So, I will take you up on your offer of your tour, if and only if you allow me to give you an urban tour (which could take days compared to an OC tour)!

I am game.... but odds are, I will show you places in Louisville that you have no clue about too. What I don't seem to get from you is respect that I have lived where you are, and I knew the area as well or better than I know Oldham.

I seriously doubt you know all parts of the city, including the west end, as well as me, but we shall see! Tom, other realtors I know have proven this, but you may be an exception (they usually know the area they push and little else). We will have a challenge, Tom! Send me a PM and we can decide a time to do it. If anyone is interested we can do a forum meet.

STX, I need to repeat for clarity that I don't push any area. While it can be said that I prefer Oldham County in many situations, like the safety of flying verses driving, 100's of Americans are killed on our roads per week, but the one flying incident of this past weekend near Bowman Field made national news. I don't care where a property is. It's all about the buyer and their needs, wants, and desires.

There is no way a competent Realtor can serve all the world or even all of Oldham County. So we must divide our skills and knowledge into sub-sets along geographical or type (REO/Luxury/Starter/etc) specialities. If a reader of this forum pays attention, they will note that I often recommend your beloved Highlands, Crescent Hill, and often even Indiana.

The challenge is on! Bring it on! I have comfortable room in my gas guzzling eco-unfriendly SUV for 4 more, and if we have enough, we'll rent a bus!

For the most part, my schedule is very flexible. We can take an afternoon in Louisville, plus a second day in Oldham...

My only days out are April 16 & 18 right now.

If we get more than my SUV will hold, we can rent a van/a small bus and all can equally divide the exact costs. Sort of a Dutch Treat kind of time.

the week of the 19th thru 26th works best for me at any time...we could do a forum meet if Tom is willing, and he could load us up in the SUV. Between Tom and myself, I think you are likely to get an excellent tour of the metro area, and everyone can throw in 10 bucks for gas since it is 3.50! Just let me know
