You are great with American fact finder. I cant wait until census 2010. I think if they do it accurately, all will be surprised at the growth in Louisville, and especially the changing demographics of downtown, Butchertown, and Old Louisville (becoming very wealthy and educated).

^^ i agree. a lot has happened in louisville since 2000. i always knew the projected population for jefferson county was under done. projections showed jefferson county not reaching 710K until near 2014. it's already happened to this day. i'd put my two cents in and say that the southwest to south ends of louisville are also seeing an increase in educational attainment.

I agree. Now mind you alot of the SW and Southend people may not have a bachelor's degree, but several get a two year or trade training. By the way, a bachelor's, masters, or even a JD is no guarantee.... my old boss's wife who is a real estate attorney for a huge company just lost her job God bless her.

The 2010 Census will be really interesting if gas prices stay at $3.50 or rise higher. If that happens, Spencer & Shelby Counties could quickly have stagnant populations while Jefferson County retains a much larger percent of the Metro Area's growth. I think Oldham & Bullitt Cos have enough areas w/i 5 miles of the large employment & shopping areas in Louisville to continue seeing moderate growth.
