Default Crestwood?

alright, i know it's not really in Jefferson county, but i'm looking for a home in the louisville area, and happened across a nice looking one in crestwood. Can anyone tell me about the area?

how far would i be from good restaurants, shopping, etc. and how far from downtown louisville?

I'll be working in Carrollton, so the in-between placement is appealing, but i don't want to take myself too far from the city. i'd like to be an easy drive away from enjoying some of the city life.

thanks for any input you can give.

Crestwood addresses cover almost 1/2 of Oldham County. The exact address is very important when it comes to answering your questions; however, assuming you are near the epicenter of Crestwood, you are less than 20 to 30 minutes to everything from downtown eastwardly.

ok...that home that i've been looking at is in the Orchard Grass Hills area. anybody have any input on what that area is like?

any information you can give would be great. what type of neighborhoods are around there? are there any safety concerns? is it in the floodplane (will i need flood insurance)? what are taxes like in oldham county?

if there is a better location to go for this information, please let me know.

thank you.

Orchard Grass Hills is safe! It is 5 minutes to I-265/I-71 There may be a few homes in the lowest part of the city that require flood (flash flooding unlikely) but I don't know of any. Orchard Grass is becoming a rental area which can lead to some issues, but the city government is on top of most of the issues and trying to hang on to all the good aspects of decent living. For the money, there truly isn't any better area left in Oldham Co.

A very nice area. Rural but very, very close to any amenities you need. It's an easy hop to both Middletown in one direction and The Summit in the other.

I live very near that area and it is terrific. You'll love it.
